Forgive us for our myriad of questions; it was our intent to understand absolutely everything we could so we could face problems with as much effectual information as possible. To those of you who shared with us their best experiences within their prospective companies, we delighted in hearing about the things that have worked well. It enthused and educated us to no end. To those who have shared with us what hasn’t worked in their companies, the ineffectual and frustrating experiences and practices, you’ve taught us so much and it was greatly appreciated.

To those who still hold out hope for that remarkable element that may eventually bring their companies to greater success, thank you for sharing that information as well. You helped a great deal with our education. To the great leaders among you, did we learn a lot from you! You helped us to recognize a good leader when we saw one and to distinguish and assess leadership better than we ever dreamed possible. A big hearty thank you goes out to those of you who argued with us, debating long hours into the evening, defending, justifying, criticizing, quantifying, explaining and always enlightening us. We appreciate your efforts!

Lastly, we’d like to thank those individuals who have made terrible mistakes, ruined their careers, made dreadful decisions, thwarted progress, lost their companies millions of dollars and defended it with their last breath.
